Preparing our hearts for the harvest

To help us prepare our hearts for the amazing things God will; do through THE HARVEST IS NOW, we will be engaging in a congregational fast. Our fast will consist of three components: DISCONNECTING, DENYING, and DISCONTINUING. We ask that you spend time in prayer as you decide to commit to taking this journey with us.

DISCONNECT

Fasting from social media. With the exception of using social media for worship and evangelism, WE ARE DISCONNECTING from social media FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONNECTING WITH GOD.

Fasting from one meal a day, fast food, eating out, and extraneous shopping (i.e. buying new shoes, clothes, electronics, jewelry, etc.). WE ARE DENYING OURSELVES of things we desire FOR US in an effort to clearly discern what God desires FROM US.

Fasting from negative comments. We are DISCONTINUING ALL NEGATIVE SPEECH. That means NO COMPLAINING, NO GOSSIPING, NO INSULTING, AND NO DIVISIVE CONVERSATIONS. We are discontinuing all negative dialogue FOR THE SAKE OF SPEAKING LIFE into our lives, our families, our church, and our community.
